Behind The Seams

Join other RARES members and the Rochester Red Wings for a tour, picnic dinner, and evening game.

"Behind the Seams" Tour, Dinner & Game at Frontier Field

Monday, July 26th, 2010

We're sorry, but we have now closed registration for this event.

What:

A behind the scenes tour, picnic dinner, and Red Wings Ball game with fellow RARES members (and their families).

We'll begin with an inside and out tour of Frontier Field - the press box, luxury suites, dugouts, etc., followed by a complete, all-you-can-eat picnic style dinner provided by the Rochester Red Wings and Frontier Field in one of the park's pavilions (The Nest in Right Field).   Beginning at 7:05, the Rochester Red Wings take on the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees in a spectacular evening game.

When & Where:

Monday, July 26th, 2010, beginning at 4:30 pm at the front gates of Frontier Field.

Cost:

  • Adults, $22.75.  That includes the tour, picnic meal, and a ticket to the baseball game.

  • Children ages 4 - 12, the price is just $18.50.

Children 3 and under are free if they sit on their parent's lap.  Otherwise, seating will be $5.50 (no charge for food for the little tykes).

Event Details:

4:45 pm    Behind the Seams Tour of Frontier Field including a tour of the luxury boxes, the dugouts, etc.  (sorry, we're typically not able to view the locker rooms as players are dressing at this time).

5:30/5:45 - 6 pm   After the tour, whenever there is a promotion, we are asked by the Wings to exit the stadium and re-enter when the gates reopen at 6 PM.  There is an autograph session this evening from former Twin and Hall of Famer Rod Carew.  Promotions are subject to change and the previously scheduled promotional event may or may not take place.  Those of you not wishing to obtain an autograph/promotional giveaway may enter through the express gates and avoid any lines but not until 6 pm.  The Wings apologize in advance for any inconvenience.  For a few of you, we'll be able to save a place in line if you're looking to obtain an autograph.  We can't always guarantee we'll be successful in saving a spot for everyone at the same point in line but we always try.

6:00 pm    All you can eat Grand Slam picnic dinner in The Crow's Nest featuring:

  • Big Red BBQ Chicken
  • Big Red BBQ Pork Ribs
  • Big Red BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwiches *
  • Char-grilled Zweigle's hot dogs **
  • Baked Beans
  • Coleslaw
  • Potato Chips
  • Watermelon
  • Ice-Cold Soda & Lemonade

Dinner is served beginning at 6 PM and right up until the game starts at 7:05.

Monday's Promotions - Autographs & Giveaways
Autograph booth with Hall of Famer Rod Carew

7:05   Reserved seating to watch the Rochester Red Wings take on the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees

Seating will be in section: 201, rows A-I (right field).  See a stadium seating chart here.

If you already have seats (or if you wish to purchase seats in a different section yourself), you may purchase a ticket for the tour and meal for $5.50 per person less than the price above - just $17.25 for adults or $13.00 for children.  This option is on the registration/payment button you see on the right.

* Veggie burgers available upon request.

** Kosher Hebrew National hot dogs available upon request.
