Genesee Country Village and Museum

Just 20 miles from Rochester, history comes alive.  The museum is housed on rural land in scenic Mumford, N.Y. There's plenty to do and see during your visit to the 19th century on more than 700 acres!

 

You'll see demonstrations of crafts and trades commonly practiced in the 1800s in America and learn about details of day-to-day life on the farm and in the city. You can even get an in-depth look at special topics and take part in hands-on learning opportunities throughout the museum.   Please note that the Wehle Art Gallery will be closed for the 2010 season while it undergoes exciting extensive renovations.

  • $3.00 discount on adult admission (17+), regularly $15.00, only $12.00.

  • $1.00 discount on youth admission (ages 4-16), regularly $9.00, only $8.00.  Children 3 and under, free.

  • 5% discount on all purchases in the retail stores with your RARES ID.

Some special events such as Civil War, Laura Ingalls Wilder Days, Agricultural Fair & Antique show, and the Fiddler's Fair where admission is $1 more, the discount will still be $3 off.
